The colander replaced a 20-year-old enamel Paderno colander that had started to rust. So far it's been just as advertised. It drains very well, yet is quite light and metal so I don't have to worry much about hot liquids on my plastic colander. My partner and I both remark regularly about how nice it is to use. I could have bought it on Amazon but decided to add it to my list at the Cookery because it was virtually the same price but Ms. Fletcher and the gang are always helpful when I visit.
