I find that the tea towel is over thick, for purpose. It does dry dish ware and pots well, but I find that it does not work well for glassware.
These are the BEST tea towels i have ever owned. For the longest time i have not been happy with the tea towels i have had.

These tea towels by Samuel Lamont sold at the Cookery are 100 percent cotton, very soft and most importantly they really absorb water well when drying dishes, cups, glasses, etc.
Also, they come out beautifully in the laundry.
Highly recommended.
