Kidding aside, this has become my go-to turner (sorry, Tina). I have a Staub dutch oven (I didn't get it here) and this tool nicely scrapes the fond off the bottom without scraping the pot's coating. Perhaps more importantly, the angle is ideal for flipping and works far better than my Oxo Good Grips turner. I can easily flip four pancakes in an old Hoover stainless steel electric frypan without having them touch afterward.
I don't put the turner in the dishwasher but I did put some mineral oil on it before its first use (and let it sit overnight).
So it's gentle on cookware coatings, it flipping flips like you've never flipped before and it's made from a renewable resource. I think I see an olivewood spoon in my future.
