Unlike many two-in-one thermometers, the Infrared Surface and Probe Thermometer is a handheld infrared thermometer with a built-in port that allows the included probe thermometer to be plugged into the unit and used like a grill probe thermometer. The probe can even be left in meats to monitor temperature over time thanks to the 40” long cord. The infrared mode has a distance to target ratio of 5:1, making it simple and safe to check the surface temperature of extremely hot objects.

Other useful features include a bright white digital backlit display with large numbers, MIN/MAX temperatures, and preset target temperatures with audible alerts.
